Spring 2026 Grant Cohort

Free air quality assessments, expert support, and subsidized air purifiers for your school

About the Program

Clean Air for Schools works directly with school districts to assess, improve, and sustain indoor air quality in classrooms — at subsidized or no cost to you. The application window for our Spring 2026 Grant Cohort has now closed.

Whether you're starting from scratch or looking to improve what you already have, we meet you where you are.

What the Grant Includes

  • An air quality assessment to understand your current conditions and identify priorities
  • Free or subsidized air purifiers for each classroom, or support to reactivate existing devices, with guidance for your facilities teams to make deployment as easy as possible
  • Relevant recommendations for your Facilities Master Plan to ensure lasting improvements

Why Apply

Clean air in classrooms improves test scores, reduces absenteeism, and protects health for just a few dollars per student annually. Research repeatedly confirms the value of clean air for students, but turning existing efforts into durable, effective programs requires independent expertise and careful implementation.

Our team has studied what works and what doesn't. We've seen air purifiers sitting unused in storage closets because they were too loud, devices running on the wrong settings, and districts paying premium prices for equipment that doesn't perform. Expert guidance can make all the difference.
